Troops,
Merry Christmas! It’s hard to believe 2010 is right around the corner. As TRF embarks on the New Year ahead, I would like to let you know about some recent decisions made directly affecting the Rashel Foundation.
As most of you know, TRF was founded only a few weeks following my cancer diagnosis in May 2005. Through my illness and every day since, I along with many of you, have poured our hearts and souls into using TRF for the cancer community and speaking for those that cannot speak for themselves.
I stand at a crossroads in my life and have come to the realization that it is time to let the Rashel Foundation go. With working full time as the studio manager for Jason Wallis Photography, going to school part time, raising Maxwell as a single mom and serving as Executive Director of TRF, I am simply stretched thin.
I know it is sad to see a wonderful organization, and chapter in my own life, come to an end. However I also believe great things are to come. I am not going anywhere, I will continue networking for those in need and advocating for patients. It will merely no longer be under the umbrella of the Rashel Foundation.
Over the past four and a half years, you and I have served hundreds of people. We together have left a mark on people in our community and I believe my ultimate goal has been achieved, God has been glorified. I believe we are all better for the Rashel Foundation’s work.
Maxwell and I treasure your prayers as we transition into a new chapter of life. Thank you sincerely for believing in the Rashel Foundation and believing in me. What a beautiful thing God has done through something as ugly as cancer. May we each continue to get outside of ourselves and actively serve those around us.
